Anno 2070 Save File

So today I was going to continue my Monumental saved game tonight but when entering the load game section I found that the file has gone along with a few other saves I had. Now I know I played and saved it last night and that I didn't hit delete by mistake, I havent deleted the physical files from the HDD and I'll admit I don't even know where they get stored. I've made no changes to my PC or my HDD's, I've not done any cleaning or deleted anything for about a month now. To make it all a little bit weirder the auto saves have reverted back a day or 2. So has anyone else seen or heard of this happening?
